Embosser Restorations. Producing and Fitting Dies to Other Embossing Machines
We have fitted many Delrin and Brass dies to older embossing machines and machines different to those above.
Creating and fitting these dies can be extremely problematic sometimes requiring several rounds of removal, machining, fitting and adjustments. It is not a simple âœmake the die and stick it inâ process. Hence the only way we can give you a price for manufacturing and fitting a new die to an old or non-standard machine is by physical inspection of your machine.
The first step is to take photos of your machine from the top, side, bottom and front then email them to us. We will give you a rough indication of price. We then ask that you post or freight your machine to us for a quotation. If you decide not to proceed we will return your machine at our expense.
As an indication, manufacture and fitting of a Delrin die will generally cost between $200 and $500 and a Brass die will cost between $350 and $600. A Brass die will look more in keeping with an old machine and give a slightly better result for detailed design: $550 to $700. Restoration as pictured below... app
